- Teachers will make photocopies of an entire book or an entire chapter in order for every student to have access the the topic that they are discussing. He/She well have to make do with the amount of books that his/her classroom may have
- Teachers making copies of images or music and putting them in presentations and also allowing their students to do the same thing. When they do this, they are violating the guidelines of Copyright.
- Teacher must teacher their students the importance of copyright and its issues. They should be leading by example.
As highlight in the Copyright Guidelines section of this blog I selected "Knowing what copyright protects" and "Knowing what you can/can not copyright" because these 2 guidelines are extremely important. I say that because
- With "Knowing what copyright protects", when you know exactly what copyright protects then you will know what you can do. It opens you eyes and mind to the key things that you should do and follow so you will not be breaking any laws under copyright.
- With "Knowing what you can/can not copyright", it allows to have a clear understanding of those things so for example, if you are a teacher you will set an example for your students. When you a teacher you will design your lessons plans in a way of following the guidelines to copyright. You'll make sure that your using the appropriate images, when you doing your lesson plans and you know you classroom is bigger than the number of books in your class you will plan accordingly.
